Notice I said “if” DT implodes.

Implosion is not guaranteed.

But it is more than likely given his history.

The media is choosing Trump over Cruz for ratings.
The polls show Trump appeal to the people who are livid about the invasion are greater then for Cruz with his more rounded solid brand of realistic constitutional conservatism.

Cruz needs to adopt Sessions plan on immigration too
and challenge Trump to a debate on ALL the issues.
Cruz could make some slight flips for once! Cruz’s immigration policy is not that much different.

Trump of course would decline a debate. Why should he debate Cruz, he is the rock star and would just cancel any plans to make Cruz his VP because Trump is thin skinned and shallow.

How America does love it’s idols.
God despises idolatry it’s Just further evidence we’re done as a God blessed nation and are headed toward more paganism.

If Trump is the nominee I have to vote for him, it will be a vote for the lesser evil once again IMO.

The immigration policy is excellent , but it still will require more then just presidential powers to implement, a typical sales technique is to tell em what they want to hear and deal with reality when the buyer is emotionally hooked. Trump is good at that.Cruz needs to get better at that.

Cruz 2016

“Trumps unfavorables are so high he can’t get elected. If enough people stay in the race long enough, he could win primaries at 25%, but that might be his ceiling.”

His unfavorables went down 20 points with the national electorate just prior to the debate (from 2 months earlier). They will change...just watch, his Immigration document and saying they all have to go home flipped a fair number of FReepers in just the past 2 days.

When I first heard the name of Donald Trump I did not believe he was serious. Now that I have seen him devote a lot of time and money I realize he wants to be president of the United States.

I like Ted Cruz, I like him a lot, a lot better than Donald Trump but I like Donald Trump whole lot better than Jeb Bush. It is Jeb Bush that the Republican establishment wants as president, Mitch McConnell would love Jeb Bush as president. I do not believe that Jeb Bush has a chance, the only thing that a Jeb Bush primary winner could give us would be president Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump has donated money to Democratic candidates including Hillary Clinton. While I do not like that I do understand it.

The press acts as though Donald Trump is a buffoon, nobody who is a billionaire, self made billionaire is a buffoon. It is obvious to me that Donald Trump knows how to negotiate and win, he has even written books on the subject.

It is obvious that Donald Trump knows how to state a position as he has done so well with immigration. He is the first candidate that I have ever heard who has said that all 40 million or so need to go back home, it is humorous when he says families can stay together, as they go home.

I love the way that he ignores the political correctness that everyone else seems to worship.

I like Ted Cruz enough that I have donated money to him but I will not cry if I have to vote for Donald Trump.

” While I do not like that I do understand it.”

Just to say grateful for your understanding I felt the same as you when our ‘gal pal’ Sarah endorsed Johnny MC over JD. I was furious, but also understood the why. This has never been forgotten but I felt she, like Sen Ted both have learned from their mistakes. Perhaps DT has learned as well. All he asks, IMHO is a chance. Your decision, you decide. I love my Sen Ted and feel confident in him even in his alliance w/DT Personally feel he is the real deal and support him 100 percent

“One of the best things that could happen to Cruz would be for Rand Paul to drop out.....”
********************************************************************************************************
Paul is also “running” for reelection to his Senate seat after manipulating Kentucky laws to allow him to do that. So he has a fall back position to allow him to remain in Federal office.

Fortunately the fast-talking and duplicitous Rubio is not...so without such a political “Golden Parachute” the despicable betrayer Rubio will be gone from the elected national scene.
