A 5’ Boa is a sub-adult who would typically only be eating medium rats at that age/size.
They get long before they get big.
My 8 footers only eat large rats and those, only once a month.
I have 5’ Hog Islands who only eat small rats as their particular locality grows slowly and stays smaller than others.
