If Donald Trump promises the void Title IX, I will throw all my support behind him immediately.
Coming to a college near you!
Universities are a dying institution
This is alot like the whole Black Lives Matter whining to me.
If just once there would be a totally innocent moral victim, sympathy would be much more forthcoming.
Maybe if they were morally chaste, none of this would happen. Just as none of this death would happen if thugs weren’t assaulting and robbing others.
Sorry, needed that soapbox.
The Left’s War on Men.
Young men can get a much better education just across town at VMI. Not long ago, that used to be the case. Not sure about now.
Disgraceful. Un-American.
Parents should refuse to finance the destruction of their sons in these Stalinist institutions. Send them to a state university nearby, get a degree as quicky as possible, and take the money saved and get them started in a business for their future. It’s the sensible thing to do.
Gray rape is when you have regrets??...then ever man I know has be gray raped...
Divorce court is full of gray raped men still getting raped ever day
Due process is due process. When a university takes the taxpayer’s coin, it must at least conduct quasi criminal hearings with due process.
But Title 9 intervenes and substitutes a whole new world of values and a whole new standard of fairness, one as we see here fashioned on the pages of Cosmopolitan. So the feminist movement trumps (you should excuse the expression) the constitution and those institutions which are acting so often in place of the government may do so unfairly.
This is a growing trend which extends to many institutions. How fair are the hearings conducted by the EPA? The IRS? The Bureau of Land Management? etc.?
It is a tool growing in favor with the Left.
“Why any male student should think twice before screwing around.”
These people are nuts.
As an alumni, I can attest that is still true. I’ll never forget the angry looks I received when I simply used their library while in uniform.
I am not at all surprised. Twenty years ago employees where I worked were required to attend a class on sexual harassment taught by a woman who was clearly hostile to men. What I learned then is that it really didn’t matter if you did anything that could legitimately be defined as sexual harassment. What did matter is the perception of the “victim”. If that person thought you had harassed them, you were guilty. Cased closed.
The experience of this male student on a college campus is merely an extension of the irrational sexual harassment training I received in the workplace. Facts don’t matter. Perception by the “victim”, who is almost always a female, is all that counts. Especially in an environment where wacko feminists wield great bullying power. I wish the student well in his case.
I can only hope W&L is sued back to the stone age.
I’m glad to hear that. My daughter once dated a guy who went to VMI. She ended up marrying somebody else but I must say this Dad was impressed. And I’m not easy to impress.
So she hooked up with a guy she wasn’t in a relationship with, saw that he got a girlfriend, she realized the hookup was nothing to both of them got angry at him for getting a girlfriend that wasn’t her and regreted the sex which then became rape. So if the guy she had a hookup with decided to seriously date her after then none of this would have happened then???
Wait the feminists encourage women to be like men sexually. Hookup & move on to the next person. I am so confused. Now regret the hookup and its rape...what happened to treating sex like a guy???
It’s called having your cake and eating it too.
I once heard it referred to as playing poker with a woman where you play the hand as dealt but the woman can draw multiple times.
You lose every time.
Ain’t this Brave New World a grand thing!
Don’t apologise for the soap box stand!
I’ve been known to climb on one from time to time.
I had a talk with every boy my daughter dated. They all got the same speech.
“she may be your date, but she is my little girl. Always will be.
You keep your hands in *your* pockets, your tongue in *your* mouth and your zipper up and we won’t have problems.”
She never got pregnant or had serious boy problems while living at home.
I gave both my boys a variation of the same speech. It started “That is somebody’s little girl and sister.”
I have 1 grandchild by way of my daughter.
Her ex husband left her gunshy, she has been living with her sons daddy 15 years.
