Where did this idea come from?,,women’s bodies are different than men’s. Women need to sit down to do all the functions. This seems to me like a “solution” in search of a “problem” which didn’t exist. Were any women complaining that they had to go in a regular toilet to urinate???

I can’t help think this is the creep of anti-western pro-asian attitudes, self-flagellation again of our great civilizations.
Orientals apparently are very big on this “sanitary” and “more efficient” mode of potty, including #2. They insist a squat position helps get everything out better and faster.
Of course it’s “sanitary” if you don’t touch anything! But frankly I am not toned like a jockey and cannot squat like that for 1 minute or so.
Much less old or handicapped people!

It came from the same people who thought they could make a law forcing men to sit down to pee. If not the same country it was in the same region of Europe.
