dear eric,
re: “And in this election cycle, I believe that Carson and Cruz completely pass the test.
Walker, Jindal, Paul, and Perry aren’t “perfect” but they are good enough for me.
Trump, Huckabee, and Graham are completely out of the question.
The rest are in my “meh” bucket. “
You can HAVE Jindal, my guv’nor, free of charge.
Paul’s philosophies are not that far different from his dear old dad’s, and he showed poorly at the debate.
Perry, or aka Superman with glasses, is GOPe.
Walker is not finished with his programs, as guv’nor of his state.
We HAD a bible-thumper in Carter, we became weak to the world. We GOT a koran thumper now, and weak to the world. Ain’t no way that huckabee is getting any closer.
Graham, a senior citizen who has never married, nor fathered any children, and is nutless, hasn’t got any skin in this game.
Cruz was ovrshadowed in the ‘let’s get trump’ debate, which was unfair, for he does have promise.
Carson is a long slow burn, who does not exist in the world of ADHD voter imagery, and must have the voters sit down and take the time to hear him, and THEN come away pleased.
Now, at this moment in time, in August 2015, 15 months, before the general election for President, by all the polls, Trump is the de facto candidate.
All this will be in flux, until the days of the Republican convention, where i’m sure, some of those blm (tr)ucks will get their arses shot.
I will absolutely vote third party if Trump is the GOP nominee, just as I would in the event of Jeb! being the nominee.
One is as liberal as the other as far as I am concerned.
I can’t get behind Trump at this Time:
He gave money to a lot of Democrats like Hillary
His reason is, he owns a lot and has to be able to ask for favors or have influence if needed.
I think that goes to the heart of who he is.
He could care less that a simple man like me has to live under the leftest policies so he can get personal favors if needed.
dear eric,
I suppose your ‘insane running away to vote third party’, has not been challenged with the question:
“Would it be good for the nation for your vote to be a little more self-less, or are you running away to vote third party, to acquire more for you, and to hell with the future of the nation?”
Will you vote for Jeb Bush if he is the nominee?
Jeb Bush, the guy that can’t keep his mind to speaking English only??
no, because i do not believe in dynastic American families, they are so last millenium.
I am a survivor of Hurricane Katrina. i was equally screwed by democrats AND republicans.
Jeb Bush, does not offer that much for the future of the nation, that has not already been displayed by the queer-in-charge.
I’ll stump for Trump.
I love Cruz. He’s absolutely the smartest guy in the race. I agree with most everything he says. He would be a great president.
There’s just one problem. He’s ugly. Yes, I said it. He looks like a villain.
In 2015-2016, Cruz is just not good-looking enough to win the GOPee nomination - let alone the presidency. Voters these days are just that superficial.
Cruz’s path to the presidency lies through serving as vice president and thereby demonstrating his competence. Then, voters would become familiar with this brilliance and would be willing to overlook his looks.
Definitely Trump has my attention and I'm rooting for him to continue to make heads explode.
I will certainly NOT vote for ¿Jeb Bush if he is the nominee and will be looking at a 3rd party candidate if that happens. I voted for Romney in the general last time but that's where I'm drawing the line. Bush is even a worse candidate than Mitt and he will lose about 44 states.
I will happily vote for somebody like Cruz should he get the nomination. But right now Trump is doing nothing to hurt Cruz, in fact, he's keeping the spotlight off Cruz and allowing Cruz to develop as a candidate. Cruz has been doing great lately and as people start paying more attention to him, he'll be tougher for the MSM and GOPe to take out.
I dont know what sort of drugs you are on but I advise you to cut down or lay off of them completely.
There’s something about Cruz, that doesn’t ring with me either.
Wake up to the real world.
There’s something about Cruz, that doesn’t ring with me either.
Everything rings true for me with Cruz. I’d vote for him in a heartbeat.
It’s just that all things equal, one has to have the charisma of a movie star to win the presidency these days.
The last ugly guy to be president was Richard Nixon. But he was a VP and very persistent. It also helps if you can promise to end a war.
Let me explain. I think he is heads above all the candidates when it comes to common sense thinking and articulating conservative principles, and also walking the conservative walk, but... I think if you look at the presidency it’s a beauty pageant. It’s the person with the great look, the great smile.
Hillary doesn’t have it while her husband did. Carter had it, Ford did not. Reagan of course had it in spades.
Trump I think has it. He’s a good looking guy, and the more you see him the more it resonates.
Cruz needs a new haircut, a new look...but then again, I think it’s a slow burn with him. People grow with him the more they hear him.
I think you can pair Trump up with any of the other candidates and and the ticket wins....
You’re exactly right.
When you decide that you can't vote for RINO Jeb Bush in the general, it's a perfectly reasonable decision. Fine. I quite agree.
But when I decide that I can't vote for big-government liberal (I can't call him a "RINO" because he's more "D" than "R") Donald Trump in the general, I'm "insane".
I think I know where we are failing to see eye to eye here!
First, as an American, (for me), it is distasteful, disingenuous, and so-not-American to have any liking for any dynastic political families, because it was a dynastic family that, in their insanity, caused the American Revolution.
Therefore, ‘Bush’, and ‘with the hag Clinton’, are both examples of dynastic families. The Kennedys were as well. The Roosevelts came close, if you examine them closely. And to close it up, yes, even the Adams could be counted in this mess.
‘Is it good for the nation?’, I see you have completed skirted, taking this discussion completely ‘into you, into me’.
Have you ever done anything solely ‘for the good of the nation’, with your life?
Have you ever ‘written a blank check for freedom’ that could only be paid for, with your blood and life?
Lastly, I want you to vote. Why? People, and friends of mine, died so that you could.
