A lost 'Lord of the Rings' story is about to be published (The Story of Kullervo)

A lost story set in the "Lord of the Rings" universe is about to see the light of day in a new book out later this summer.

"The Story of Kullervo" is about the titular Kullervo, a boy sold into slavery who vows revenge on a cruel wizard who killed his father. Here's how the novel's Amazon listing describes it:

The Silmarillion: one of the very few books that defeated me. Just couldn’t make myself finish it.

And, call me a weirdo, but I actually liked The Hobbit better than The Lord of the Rings.

The story of Turin has already been told in the Silmarillion and in a separate book (it was better in the Silmarillion). don’t need an early prototype. And as someone above noted, it could tempt Peter Jackson to make some more dreadful movies.
