- Amnesty approves policy to decriminalize sex trade
LONDON (AP) Amnesty International has approved a controversial policy to endorse the de-criminalization of the sex trade, rejecting complaints by womens rights groups who say it is tantamount to advocating the legalization of pimping and brothel owning.
At its decision-making forum in Dublin on Tuesday, the human rights group approved the resolution to recommend full decriminalization of all aspects of consensual sex work. It argues its research suggests decriminalization is the best way to defend sex workers human rights.

One way to deal with the problem of slavery is to make it legal.

Amnesty International has many operatives in the far-flung corners of the world, and they get lonely.

Prostitution is legal in the Netherlands, but I understand that a lot of the prostitutes there were shipped there either against their will or under false pretenses. It is difficult, if not impossible, for them to get back home and so they are pretty much stuck prostituting themselves or being killed.
So how's making prostitution legal going to address that?

Trouble is I may be consenting, but she isn’t.
Will Amnesty fix that?

the human rights group approved the resolution to recommend full decriminalization of all aspects of consensual sex work. How much of it is truly consensual? Other than a few amoral individuals who are doing work they enjoy, most are likely without other options and many are enslaved.

Only a matter of time until ‘friends’ use peer pressure to get their buddies to join in. Once legal, we’ll end up seeing a LOT of placage style arrangements and hooking will swamp our culture.

How do you decide if it is consensual.
The pimp tells the girl her sister get beat if she ever says different you ask the girl she says off course its consensual..
You people are sorta on the stupid side right?
