Im not. Theres o sovereign immunity if you make an error, especially if you have an anti 2a DA in your county. Theyd high five cops who blew this idiot away but would throw the book at joe citizen for shooting first and assesing later. They dont care if we all go home safe at the end of the day, we cannot be forgiven the same mistakes they can make.

Same here - if I was in that situation (especially if my wife was with me), it may have ended a bit differently. Probably posted against weapons and any CHL types that "broke the rules" opted to wait for it to devolve into a definite situation - situational awareness may have given some enough info to decode the situation.
Good thing they didn’t do that while I was there.
