Out of 8,735 Licensed Mammogram Facilities in the United States, Planned Parenthood Runs 0

Planned Parenthood still claims they provide access to life-saving mammograms.

In 2012, they issued a press release that read, “Planned Parenthood helps women nationwide get access to mammograms, as part of the range of health care Planned Parenthood health centers provide to nearly three million people a year.”

Obama echoed their rhetoric during his second presidential campaign. He said, “There are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings.” Then, earlier this week, the Secretary of Obama’s Health and Human Services department defended federal funding for the abortion giant by mentioning mammograms. Sylvia Mathews Burwell said, “What I think is important is that our HHS funding is focused on issues of preventative care for women, things like mammograms.”

However, the truth is Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms or breast biopsies or ultrasounds. They don’t help women catch cancer; instead they refer women to legitimate health centers that offer those services.

In fact, the Federalist reports that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration lists 8,735 licensed mammography facilities in America on their website but Planned Parenthood operates none of them. You can view their list by clicking here.

Of course, Planned Parenthood (and all their friends) amped up their rhetoric about their care for women after videos surfaced showing their executives haggling over the price of fetal body parts. They are using that argument to defend themselves and criticize lawmakers who want to defund them. For example, the president of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards, told MSNBC’s Andrew Mitchell that defunding their organization is all about “denying women access to birth control, cancer screenings, testing and treatment for many women where Planned Parenthood is their only doctor.”

Unsurprisingly, Hillary Clinton just announced that she doesn’t support defunding the abortion giant either because they provide health access to low-income families. She said, “When politicians talk about defunding Planned Parenthood they are talking about blocking millions of women, men and young people from life saving preventive care. Cancer screenings, breast exams, birth-control.”

As LifeNews previously reported, Komen for the Cure made national headlines in 2013 when they decided to stop providing grants to Planned Parenthood because they found that they didn’t perform mammograms. A representative from Komen said, “When a mammogram is indicated, a patient is often referred to a local program, such as the state’s breast and cervical cancer program. In other cases, the Komen Affiliate’s grant to Planned Parenthood may include funds to pay for mammograms outright. When this happens, a local provider performs the mammogram, and is then reimbursed by Planned Parenthood using the Komen grant funds.”

Unfortunately, a few days after the Breast Cancer Foundation made their announcement, they gave in to bullying tactics from Planned Parenthood and changed course.

Hillary Clinton doesn’t know diddly squat about anything except siphoning off money to and from shady front groups.

The Clintons hold up the Saudis, etc for a good chunk of the million dollars when they get themselves a chance to give a speech for the pleasure of the Caliphate promoters.

The affirmation that Planned Parenthood is “essential to women’s health” is an article of faith, and therefore impervious to factual challenge.
