If they end up in Hell, they might just think the beings running the simulation are even more horrible bastards than they originally thought.
Except for the fact that BEFORE they land in Hell, they will face their Judge, Christ Himself, who said, paraphrased, that the Father has turned all judgment over to the Son. They will face the One who offered to be their Savior. They will see His scars from the thorns and the spikes.
And they will hear Him say that they are without excuse; because the wonders, the beauties and the elegant systems of the universe literally SHOUT the existence of a loving, all wise Creator who deserved to be worshipped, but they blew him off. They will agonize through eternity, cursing their own stupid hubris.
