This illustrates the immigration debate has the wrong paradigm.

Immigration law and enforcement should have a focus:
Terrorists,
Murderers, rapists, DUI drivers,
Welfare parasites.

This should apply to all immigrants: illegals, legals and naturalized citizens. Nobody should come here to rape, Drive drunk or apply for welfare. Even the application for welfare should be grounds for prosecution.

That means giving a pass to those who work and take care of their families.

That means a focus on 10% or 1.1 million of the alleged 11 million. A focus on all 11 million is no focus at all. A focus on all 11 million and on those who work means giving a pass to the rapists, murderers and parasites.

No free passes, but it makes sense to start with the rapists and murderers, work your way down from Maine to Florida, Washington state to California, Minnesota to Texas. Start actual enforcement and many will find their own way home.

Please remember that government K-12 schooling is our nation's biggest welfare entitlement. Each immigrant in the government schools costs up to $10,000 year/child. In some states it is far higher than that.
