You don't understand - this happened in California. Californians take NO responsibility for anything. You still don't understand - there ARE NO Californians. Because if there were, they'd have to take responsibility for existing, and that is impossible. So it CAN'T be their fault, because they literally were not there.

I have known some of these local car dealers...it is not unusual for them to just do what the ad guy says....the car dealer is not in the marketing biz, he is in the car biz....so they become pretty compliant. (Much like me when my mechanic says “X is broken, sff, you gotta spend this much to fix it...)
I am glad they’ve apologized....maybe they’ll be more circumspect.
