No One Really Needs an Apple Watch Today

I’ve put off writing about the Apple Watch until today because, quite frankly, I didn’t know what I wanted to say. But last night it came to me… The Apple Watch is the coolest gadget in the world that you don’t need (and I say that with all due respect).

I’ll spare you the product details (visit www.apple.com/watch) so I can spend the rest of our brief time together explaining why I love Apple Watch, but don’t think you (or anyone) really needs one (at least not yet).

First, some background: I have collected and worn reasonably priced wristwatches for at least 40 years. I own more than a dozen timepieces — from everyday watches like the Casio G-Shocks I pick up on Ebay for well under $100 to my fanciest and most expensive one, a Tag-Heuer Chronograph I picked up in Hong Kong for around $800 back in the 1980s.

You are confusing “waterproof” with “water resistance”,

Can you provide the model number or name for this “waterproof” watch?

OK, butt, it's not waterproof like you have been claiming it is.
Casio says it is only water resistance.

It is also NOT suitable for snorkeling, and Jetsking, BOTH of these are done at the surface of the water. It also says it is only suitable for shallow water. It also is NOT suitable for Scuba Diving.

http://www.casio-intl.com/asia-mea/en/wat/water_resistance/

Most Scuba is done at depths of less than 50 meters.

It appears your watch has about the same water resistance as the Apple Watch.

Just purchased a iWatch and love it. Use it as a phone with the fitness features, heart pulse, and use for emails and messages. It is great with weather on face, time, date, etc. Can use photo and FaceTime on the watch. I used a eBay recalled of $268!!!!! 42mm and black face. Used it in a week and come with warranty and return. Evetek? I love mined.
