Cartoon is stupid. I am against 15/hr min wage but that is not going to affect the retail price 100% simply because labor is a cost, one of many costs.

You double your labor costs - how much do you raise your prices?

In fast food labor cost is 25% of retail. So doubling the hourly labor rate makes $1 go to $1.25. A 25% increase. So a hamburger that cost $4 goes to $5.

In this cartoon there is another stupidity, one of the employes is fired so if both were making min wage you are left with one making 15/hr. A zero effect on labor costs for the establishment.
