Mr. Rugaburns spin is just absurdly transparent.

Any mention from this 'economist' how salaries have been essentially flat for years & years?
Or that virtually ALL of the new jobs recently created have been taken by immigrants?
I guess that would send the wrong message.

Until now, the money that was created was confined to the top 1%, raising the prices of fine wines, paintings, luxury cars, and million-dollar condos.
However, it may be leaking into the general population.

Payin’ da price for Barry Soetoro’s “boomin’ ‘conomy”. America is getting what it deserves. If you morons haven’t had enough yet, I suggest that you vote for Slick Willie’s wife! She and her girlfriends will continue the destruction of America.

The same story on the
AP Big Story site has a Disqus comments section. No posts at the time of writing; I wonder if Rugaber wants to hear any responses to his spin.

Rugaburn actually had help from fellow AP hacks Candice Choi, Anne DInnocenzio and John Fahey putting this together. And the second-to-last paragraph actually buried this in it:
Jeremy Beck, a lawyer in Louisville, Kentucky, has noticed a jump in his water bill and said electricity costs were also rising. But he and his wife, Christine Ehrick, a professor at the University of Louisville, said the biggest problem has been flat wages.
Nice reporting there, guys.

"So are prices for restaurant meals, haircuts, gym memberships and a cup of coffee."
Oh, how about a barbeque or a nice steak and some classy brew with that. Nachos, ice cream! Hard working folks should also avoid getting too tired, getting all puny and skinny and underperforming at work. Take a break!

Cartoon is stupid. I am against 15/hr min wage but that is not going to affect the retail price 100% simply because labor is a cost, one of many costs.

Teenage grandson went to the store with me this last weekend. His comment, “Well, looks like we can afford to buy bacon for breakfast now but can’t afford the eggs to go with it. Is it always like this?”

I started to write a scathing comment at the link to the full article... but realized I was wasting my time and refuse to give them even a fake email.
