Wonder if we’ll see any in Reno at Hot August Nights in a few weeks.

Fine stuff.
I’ve been to the Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg meet here in Indiana.
Stunning machinery.
One issue on these is that a lot of the owners are “aging out”.
Collector cars seem to peak in interest when people who liked them as youngsters are in the 55-70 age bracket.

Actually both Pierce and ACD (Duesenberg - greatest car ever; and yes, I went to 2 ACD Labor Days a long time ago) died when those types were born.
My parents - no direct knowledge of them from their childhood.
People most likely to hold onto any possible memories are about 80+ now.

We watched the “Bloomington Gold” Corvette parade here in Indiana last month (over 1000 cars). I told my SIL there will be some cheaper Vettes in 20 yrs because all the current owners will be dead or to crippled to climb in.

I wonder what their cars would look like if they were still being manufactured?

Had a good friend who once had 7 different Model A’s and a ‘62 Caddie. Had an uncle who had an Edsel. Wjat a car that was. Another uncle was a Studebaker dealer. Dealt in parts till he died at age 91. He’d gone to Detroit in 1919 to learn the auto business. Did it all his life.
Wish I had one of those car now. Cars today have just don’t have personality. Loved riding the Model A roadster rumble seat. Those were cars.

Cars today just dont have personality. They basically all look the friggin same today! ...except for a few comparatively minor differences in the grill and tail lights.
