a lane change violation..ie,, didn’t use her turn signal.

No. It was for assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
Well, she was probably charged with assault or at least resisting arrest.
That’s nonsensical. I hope the family sues and wins.
One of the charges was for assaulting the trooper. In most circumstances, comply with the officer’s instructions, then file a complaint after the fact. If she had done this, she would have gotten off with a warning. Instead, she decided to open her mouth and let stupid fall out.
And, as I understand it, the lane change was pulling over because there was a police car behind her with flashing lights. He was signalling her, expecting her to pull over - so he didn’t need her to signal him.
And why did he go after her in the first place?
