CA, NY, NJ, MA, HI are just the prototypes for what the Progs actually want: COMPLETE DISARMAMENT. They won't get it while I'm still alive, but I'm sure they're willing to murder millions of us to get it.
Never researched California laws, but did for NY because I had to drive through.
To transport a weapon through NY, the weapon should be locked in a case in the trunk and any magazines need to be locked in a glove compartment sans ammo. Any stopping is prohibited (brings gas/rest stops into play).
Federal laws enacted for such cases say the weapon must be stored separate from the ammo but the case in the trunk doesn't have to have its own lock.
>Locked, even when unloaded and in the trunk? Sure about that?
You’re correct - in the trunk counts as “locked”
As long as its not accessible to the driver.
They wouldn’t want you to be able to defend yourself or anything like that.
In addition, I believe any ammunition needs to be elsewhere in the vehicle; if the weapon’s in the trunk, the lead needs to be somewhere up front.
