That reminds me of a video chat group in the very early days of video chat, 1995 or so I think. We would all get together around 4AM my time and have coffee and gab for a while. Only one or two had cams so we would mostly just use mics, text always available too, and just have a good time. Miss those days.
Strange that I consider it simpler days....but then, not all that long ago, the world wasn’t coming apart in front of our eyes...so maybe even with all the tech advances, I was learning computer repair and working as a machinist, it still seems like simpler days...
A couple of years ago my late fathead and I were in a restaurant when a picture of my son came in He was standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. A bit later a video of he and his band playing the night before in Paris. After explaining where and what dad with tears streaming down says “in my lifetime” and then adds “I wonder what it will be like in Charles life?” (my new grandson)
Times have changed not sure yet whether technology is bringing us together or keeping us apart. One thing is certain it has enabled we the people to unite, be informed, and hopefully take back our country. /rant
