I think Toshiba makes great computers. I’ve never had a problem with them.

I hope they stay in business and he goes to jail.

They also sold our top secret submarine silent propeller designs to the Russians in the 1980s. A miserable company.

We need a global renaissance. The amount of corruption in this world is staggering.

True, and I've been boycotting them ever since.

In Japan, when they bring dishonor, don’t they usually (literally) fall on their sword?

I say Sepukku is in order. Where are the tanto or wakizashi knives? Even better would be Ginzu knives stamped out in China.

The Samurai and the Code of the Bushido died with the atom bomb and the bullet train.

While true what would happen here in the US.

The company would get a govt bail out and the executives would get huge bonuses to stay on.

Me too. I refuse to give them a dime.

I had a friend who worked for them at the time and he quit in disgust. He is now a Pastor.

Don’t they audit financial statements in Japan? Sheesh.

Where’s Deloitte, Anderson, PWC style auditing?

They need Sarbanes-Oxley implemented there also.

1.2B over 7 years is “massive”, “whopping”? Isn’t that what e.g. Apple makes during lunch hour?

They also built the reactors at Fukushima and put the backup power sources on the water side of the plant.

“They also built the reactors at Fukushima and put the backup power sources on the water side of the plant.”

Very bad engineering.

They forgot to look at environmental concerns. That is, what is going on around the installation that could hurt it.

Very basic engineering.
