It’s now Monday, 12:34 pm, but I was in this same place last evening when this thread started.
I’m twenty miles north of Dallas, sitting on a couch in the library/TV room with Fox News on. This couch is where I sit every day to run the world, unless I’m in a casino winning money to run my own world.
We used to ski on Lake Almanor — by the end of July, we had the entire lake to ourselves. It was wonderful. I see that Almanor lake level a week ago was 4,483 feet which is normal for July. I wish I could be there!
“using my new Acer Chromebook 15”
I bought a new Acer Chromebook 11 about two months ago. I got it for backup in case my regular laptop crashes. I pay bills on line and must have a computer that works and isn’t in the shop getting fixed or it goes totally dead. I also carry this Chromebook when we travel as it’s light as a feather and so is the case for it.
I know Pen Argyl. You are about 15 miles from us. Small world ain’t it.
Lol! Yeah I guess I could have typed that sentence differently.
I bought my Acer Chromebook 15 this June, to serve as a backup as my old PC desktop is dying.
It is so fast and reliable, I now use it all the time in our family room or backdeck/patio. This Chromebook is fast and handles 90+% of my online computer needs.
I do prefer a regular key board and a mouse for more intensive word processing, our financial monitoring and beyond any simple cut and paste. So, I have asked Costco to sell Acer’s new Chrome Desk Top, when it comes on the market.
I have Kindle Cloud on this Chromebook and an Acer 8” Tab for semi serious reading and reference reading and work. I have basically a bookcase available in two small portable systems.
