Yep, that’s something I have always wanted, and have always felt a tinge of pain whenever I am told that I should support “free trade” so that the Chicoms are doing all our manufacturing. I even heard it in my Economics classes in university, read it straight in the textbook, over and over and over again. But, you know what? Even if it is more expensive— seeing as how you have to pay someone an actual wage as opposed to the slave labor the Chicoms use— I’d rather have those jobs in America than going to third world countries.
You'll see Freepers there (correctly IMO) noting that any liberal who wants to pay a $15 minimum in his business is welcome to do so, and to see if he can continue to stay competitive by selling to the like-minded.
Now let's look at your comment above..

If this really is a widely held view, there is nothing stopping GE, or Apple, or Black & Decker from setting up a 100% American factory, paying middle class wages to every one who works there, and pricing to maintain their current net income. It would be great for their PR, no hit to their bottom line, and help them fend off attacks by the Sanderses and the Trumps.
What does the fact that this has not happened tell you??
On the other hand - if you don't think this should be voluntary - if you think the government should force this somehow - then how are you different from the $15 minimum wage brigade??
