Many moons ago a young lady ran, about 1 am, into a bar in downtown Durango, CO frequented by bikers. A guy had snatched her purse.
Bar emptied, they chased the guy, who was on foot.
Here’s the interesting part. He had a gun, kept turning and firing at the bikers, who would duck behind cars and such but kept chasing him. Eventually he ran out of ammo, they ran him down, beat the **** out of him and held him for the cops.
I wasn’t involved personally. Unless there is an exceptionally good reason, like a child being kidnapped, I’m not going to chase an armed man. Certainly not for a purse.
But kudos to them. Possibly some were former Marines.
