This kind of stuff is just Our Owners from The State trolling us peasants with the Criminal Jesters system.

The Founding Fathers would have taken out this trash a day or two after the verdict.

Now, if the young lady had been offspring of one of the Owners, this guy would have been dead in 2002 at the latest. Since she was a peasant, the Owners got to burn a bunch of tax dollars taunting the family with "the suspense" of the trial, and the appeals and other money-wasting garbage their little "System" goes through.
