It’s pretty plain that “Scout” is a type of Harper Lee, and Atticus Finch is a type of Lee's father.

Harper Lee is a writer, “Scout” is a painter. Big difference? Not IMHO (in fact, somebody should investigate whether Lee ever painted as a hobby).
