This seems to be a new weapon in the fight to suppress the opposition - so that they can’t get the word out and raise money for help.
An agency can take a legal action against anyone and get the judge to impose a gag order. There is no reason gag orders can’t be used in traffic ticket cases, and no reason that EPA or FEC or any other federal agency with quasi judicial powers can[t impose them. What bothers me is that everyone who receives one goes along with it. No one shouts the info gagged in the public arena. Everyone should, regardless of the consequences.
