One week from today, on July 15th, a massive military exercise known as Jade Helm begins. More than 1,000 members of the U.S. military.... Since when is 1K a "massive" operation?

They spent millions, probably billions to upgrade base training facilities. It makes no sense.

Yeah, that caught my eye. Even if that was a typo and he meant 10,000 that is still not a "massive" operation. Unusual yes, but I have participated in numerous field exercises involving that amount of people. Heck, 1,000 personnel is only slight larger than a Marine infantry batallion. Those type of exercises happen all the time.

As I understand it, the 1000 refers to Special Forces. That's not including the 82nd Airborne and all the support and logistics personnel.
