Not only would He NOT encourage it but His Dad settled that kind of obscene behavior in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Could he be confusing love with sexual activities? Love can encompass many folks and many things and is good. Sexual activity between two men or two women or dogs, or horses, or anything else is not normal and should not be encouraged. He seems to be mixing up his philosophies or he has latent problems himself.
“If you continue IN MY WORD, then you are indeed my disciples. And you will know the truth and the truth will make you free.” Jesus: John 8;31. We are not free to make Jesus in our sinful image, Mr. Carter.
Carter was ridiculed back in the day for his ‘lusted in his heart’ comment.
However, that shows me he has read and at least had some basic understanding of the Sermon on the Mount. In this sermon Christ warned that simply following the letter of the law was not enough. To lust in your heart was equivalent to adultery, hate is equivalent to murder. Holiness requires more than fulfilling a simple checklist.
Yet here 40 years later he has succumbed to political ideology and forgotten all that he knew. It was well and clearly understood that when Christ spoke of sexual immorality in Matt 15 that homosexuality was included. He didn’t list each possible permutation because he didn’t need to.
There are other examples. The Bible is clear on the topic. Christ was clear on the topic. To suggest otherwise is either ignorance or wilful deceit.

He may want to revisit the scriptures. The opposite is very clear in scriptures.
