Uli Emanuele pilots what is possibly the most technical and difficult BASE jump ever. For the past 3 years Uli has been dreaming about and preparing for what could be a world record jump. With just his wingsuit and hiking poles, he climbs to his exit point and realizes there is no turning back.
I used to jump, but no threading needles with wingsuit BASE jumps. That’s all ‘I’m kind of OK with a messy, terrifying death’. Nope. No thanks.
Insanity, the guy has a death wish.
... and everyone feels bad for them when they are splattered on a rock
No turning back.. sounds like Progre$$ivi$m..
My last was posted before I watched the vid. The glide after the eye of the needle was serious danger territory, too. I hope this fellow doesn’t meet a bad end- but if I had to bet, he’s headed that way.
I did that last weekend. ;)
Thanks for posting. Very cool.
Where is it located?
Dunno. I’m guessing somewhere in the Alps
Amen...I’m with you, he won’t be around long if he keeps it up.
Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
I watched Jeb Corliss’ jump in Africa where he kissed a rock ledge on the way down and broke his legs up and cringed myself back into the Stone Age.
Kind of glad we didn’t have this when I was that age- I’d have killed myself at it.
Great wingsuit video for those who like that kind of thing. I think it’s cool, but blowing through a two-meter gap is too much- this one is closer than I’d dig, but a great presentation.

That’s some good footage and too close for comfort at that speed.
LOL! Got a belly laugh out of the guy in the red T-Shirt diving for his life rather than taking the pic.
Thanks for the link, I believe I saw that several years ago because it looks a little familiar.

Hol muh beer ‘n watch dis!
Someday the guy holding the beer will be able to drink the rest of it because the idiot will be splatted on the mountain.
A real death wish and seems to be proud of it.
Of course, if he had survived the impact, I believe it's about a one thousand foot drop to the bottom. If he was unconscious after the impact, he certainly wouldn't have survived the fall.
And the last thing that went through its mind was.....
Heck, a couple of ‘em got all crashed up and everything a month ago. Both of ‘em on the same SOLID ROCK SURFACE.
At my age, getting up for a beer is an adventure sport.
He makes the flight, threads thru that small gap in the rock, lands on a farm and is killed by the farm animals. That last part was edited out....
