Absolutely love tuna. Developed a sea food allergy about five years ago and a can of it nearly killed me. My throat swelled almost shut. Scared me something awful.

I have had several bouts of I think it's like a hiatial hernia. It didn't cut off my airway or swell, but food wouldn't go up or down. Little by little I have to bring it all up and wait about 1/2 hour for it to clear. I couldn't even swallow water or anything without pain and coming back up but not like vomiting.

It's happened several times since and on different foods. Sometimes it's bad and other times it clears up fairly rapidly if I haven't eaten too much.

I don't know if it is a hernia or not. It does feel like the tube to my stomach constricts while it is happening.
