Sas,
Ya gots to wonder which dolt was the first to venture in to the world of toad licking and why?
There was a show about toad licking in Australia some years ago. It was filled with hilarity.
One was this old vagrant “frequent flyer” with the police, who they hauled in. He had a toad in every pocket on him, pants, shirt, coat, which he had to surrender.
It also featured a domestic dog that was hopelessly addicted to toad licking, and had to be sent to the doggie equivalent of rehab.
Some parts of Australia have a Cane Toad Day, in which children are encouraged to capture as many as they can to thin the herd, with small prizes for the biggest captures. It makes sense, as Cane Toads are quite large, 4-6 inches long and up to 3 pounds, and will eat anything they can eat.
