So let me guess, if I were to bother to tune into Erin Burnett this evening, she would most likely be talking all about home grown terrorism and Second Amendment extremism and Southern white bigotry? In contrast to about a fortnight or so earlier when she suggested to Pamela Geller about how her antics were possibly inflammatory to Muslims and that First Amendment rights do not necessarily protect things like that.
He’s not a terrorist any more than the other Dylan mass murderer or Lanza or the guy at the movie theatre. All these nutcases felt they were getting back at society and killing people who deserved killing.
He’s a crazy person who was stirred up by the divisiveness being preached now and attached himself to that particular thing as what he hated about society.
Jihadis need to be separated out from those pursuing other agendas.
“I doubt that any of them even gave that a thought.”
I don’t.

The Charleston, South Carolina church massacre took place in a gun-free zone
In South Carolina, law abiding citizens with a concealed carry permit are allowed to carry their legal, concealed handguns in public.
However, South Carolina Code Ann.§ 23-31-215 prohibits them from carrying their guns in churches or other religious sanctuaries.

I blame those in our culture who are stoking the flames of racial divisiveness per the Marxist political agenda, and I’m looking straight at Obama, and his clown posse including Holder.
This is just stupid. BOR was pushing this comparison to terrorists last night too and it’s just stupid. Jihadis are psychotic, no doubt about it, but they are not the same kind of detached from reality bug nuts crazy this guy and other Gun Free Zone Killers are. He could have just as easily identified with Captain Jack Sparrow and thought he was an 18th century pirate.
I’ve been putting this off now long enough. I’m applying for a gun permit ASAP and going to buy a gun. Any recommendations out ther3 from fellow FRs?
‘home grown’ ?
Like the Ft. Hood guy?
Good for you! I think you will really enjoy the security and
responsibility that come with owning and carrying a firearm.
Asking for FReeper recommendations on what to carry is a loaded question.
Prepare for the deluge, my FRiend. lol
Ultimately you ought to choose what feels most comfortable
for you to carry and to use. I think you could start with dividing
the options between double action revolvers and semi-auto
handguns. Gather some imformation on the two types and hopefully
some hands on experience then you can concentrate on further narrowing
down your choices within the one category you prefer.
I’ll let others weigh in on the many other choices to be made
but you might want to start a vanity thread to solicit that advice.
You will get it! ;-)
The use of the word terrorist is way over done. A terrorist is a person who kills with the main goal of overthrowing a government. This shooter is a mass murderer, not a terrorist. The media plants the word terrorist in these type of killings to foment anti gun hysteria. Don’t fall for it.
I want a weapon that I can carry, eg when I’m pumping gas with my back to my car, looking over the entire area if anyone comes towards me. A weapon that if my confronted by someone, I can say to them...”Please...don’t shoot me...here’s my wallet...then BANG...I’ve shot them before they’ve shot me. I would think that would reduce the number of options to a few good ones.
ANTI-Second Amendment extremism in the form of a "gun free" church plus an anti-black moron equaled death for most of those whose lives might have otherwise been saved.
Attacking civilians for political, or religious reasons is terrorism. This fits the definition.
