It’s not that I oppose putting a woman on currency. It’s that we honored President Hamilton with the $10 bill. And to take it away from Hamilton in order to honor someone else seems wrong.
I agree especially since Hamilton fought in the critical battle of the war, and led the assault on a key location which allowed us to win Yorktown.
Hamilton was a treasury secretary, not a president.
And what woman in US History has the gravitas to be considered in the company of the least of the men who decorate our currency?
All the suggestions are pathetic in terms of real accomplishment and of significance to the nation.
Harriet Tubman? Equal to Hamilton? Not. Even. Close.
Eleanor Roosevelt? What did she ever do other than service Franklin Delano ? And probably that, not very satisfactorily.
