Witnessed something comparable to this at a local Wally World just yesterday. I was waiting in the inside entryway for a passing rain shower to move off and noticed a young white cop and what I presumed to be a loss prevention gal trolling around back and forth between the inside front of the store to the outside. In a few minutes two young 20-something ghetto divas appeared at the inner doors on their way out and were stopped by the cop who then diverted them to the area that has benches, games and so forth in an inside area that runs along the front of the building, like a long indoor alcove. What stood out to me was both divas were pushing occupied babystrollers AND shopping carts, which didn't have much in them. If I was to make a guess, they were packing shoplifted items into the babystrollers and got zeroed onto by security. A second and even younger white cop appeared and things continued to go downhill from there. The cops were talking in very calm, measured voices, the divas were practically yelling. Due to the crummy acoustics in that area I couldn't understand what they were saying, it sounded like WHOOP HAWP HOOP HAW HAACK. Yeah they were getting loud and rowdy and a crowd was starting to gather, with their smartphones out and so forth, and fortuitously the hard shower quit and I got the hey out of there. The ghetto crowd has gone proactive in open insurrection, provoking law enforcement in hope of 'gotcha' moments they can get on video, in quiet solidarity with those who want to do some shooting of their own, but not with a vid recorder.
Well, lapsus calami, it’s going to get much, much worse about three days after the EBT cards quit working...
