These out of the way rest stops have been meeting places for certain people for many years. In my home state of Wisconsin, some years ago the state police had a sting on wayside rest stops and caught a number of people engaged in unusual (for a rest stop) activity. Unfortunately, one of the people caught was not the then Dem governor, James Doyle.

Some years ago while running into one to relieve pressure I came in on two of them (members of a certain strong Dem constituency) engaged in abnormal rest stop activity. That's an image that will stick in your mind forever no matter how much mind bleach you use to wipe it out.
