So, you're all for a secret deal that Obama himself is demanding, that would greatly expand his power, while diminishing the Senate's constitutional treaty ratification power?

No, but I am in favor of TPA {which is not secret}, not TAA nor the current TPP agreement {which I have not read} for obama as well as for President Cruz.

The current TPP can be voted down with 51 Votes and if it is not good, then the senate can and should vote it down.

The TPA law will extend for the next President, something that the semonRAT senators would never let come to a vote for a pubbie President Cruz.

And if you are going to tell me that the senate cannot be trusted to vote down a bad trade bill, then we are truly lost.

None of the above. It was Cruz or Walker. Then Cruz sold out TWICE, on Iran and on granting this president plenary powers to negotiate whatever he wishes with foreign governments and call it a trade agreement. Walker claims to be in agreement with that particular grant of dictatorial power to der Leader but at least he has the excuse of not knowing what is in then thing though that would call his power of judgment severely into question- give such power to this president?.

Aside: These folks all seem in a terrible hurry to pass as many versions of an "Enabling Act" as they can before the next election.

Cruz voted to give Obama the no oversight no amendment power to make whatever deal he likes with Iran. Check it out. He really did that. Don’t tell me well Congress gets an up-or-down vote on the results. It is not effectively true. The Democrats have sufficient votes in the Senate to stop any such vote from going anywhere. The Republicans made sure of that by not eliminating the filibuster even after the Democrats made it a one way thing to be waived when the Democrats have a majority if they need to get something passed.

What is your take on the interview? (Seemed to end mid-sentence for some reason.)

In an elective dictatorship, which is what this system will be before the advent of the next Election id it is not in fact that already, one should vote for the candidate least likely to damage one’s family and class. Foreign policy becomes paramount because survival is paramount. That does not preclude voting for Walker or Cruz on my part. It does change the rationale of the vote. Perhaps Trump would be the best candidate in the present historical situation, perhaps even Bush, though I probably cannot get pasa certain aversion I have to either man.

Haven’t seen it. Don’t have hi speed Internet service. But it’s on my list to look at when I do.

That is the key issue!

The people on FR trying to defend Cruz say that all Presidents have had this authority.

They seem to forget that Obama isn't like any other President we have had.

You seem to think that 15 months is too short period of time for this President to do more damage!

This deal can wait until after Obama is out of Office.

The Senate is not going to vote down this treaty with 51 votes-and they know it.
