The headline makes it sound like the war kept him from walking.
In reality it was little league baseball. People skip the ceremonies all of the time. I guess it’s nice for this guy, but it’s not really national news.

Doesn’t anybody proof read these articles? I presume the author is referring to a Bronze Star.
