I think Patton used a Remington model 51 in .380 in addition to a general officers model 1908 pocket Colt in .380 also.

Oops...the Remington Model 51 was discontinued in 1934. Patton had a hard time finding one as a result.

Colt 1903 .32 - general officers
Colt 1908 .380 - field surgeons & chaplains IIRC

Or was it the other way around?

Saw the 1911 based G.O.M. in the late 1970’s. Now they just issue a M9 & let him buy it on retiring.
