They were Homosexuals before they became psychopathic murderers. I am of the opinion that it is a very thin line between the two.
The favorite meeting place of the SA was a "gay" bar in Munich called the Bratwurstglockl where Roehm kept a reserved table (Hohne:82). This was the same tavern where some of the earliest formative meetings of the Nazi Party had been held (Rector:69). At the Bratwurstglockl, Roehm and associates -- Edmund Heines, Karl Ernst, Ernst's partner Captain Rohrbein, Captain Petersdorf, Count Ernst Helldorf and the rest -- would meet to plan and strategize. These were the men who orchestrated the Nazi campaign of intimidation and terror. All of them were homosexual (Heiden:371).
They then rounded up hundreds of thousands of homosexuals, put pink triangles on them, and slaughtered them.
They didn't like fems. They wanted butches. Those, they enlisted.
I’m not saying homosexuality wasn’t a big part of the Nazi leadership - it was. But I can’t agree that homosexuality is close to psychopathic murderers, or that the Nazis only killed the fems and not the butch homosexuals. I think it’s more likely that homosexuality is more vulnerable to being manipulated out of control, into a precarious energy state whereby the the mental and emotional desires conflict with the natural energy of the the body - i.e. the body is directed to sexually engage in same-sex energy exchanges that drives it more and more out of balance with an overload of that particular “type” of energy - masculine or feminine.
That’s why the Chinese esoteric tradition instructs homosexual to spend time, or even live, in places with the opposite of their body energy - men around lowland bodies of water where it is rainy and cool, women around sunshine and high hills and mountains where it is dry and hot.
With heterosexuality, these opposite energy requirements for balancing are supplied by the partner. But with homosexuality, they are agitated and increased out-of-balance by the partner. That’s why gay men have so many partners, the more sex they have, the more agitated they get and can’t remain stable because of the fiery male energy that’s out of control in them. Likewise, lesbians complain of “lesbian bed death,” because once they partner up, they become more and more lethargic, even sexually, because of the build-up of female energy, which is naturally quiescent and slower-moving.
These reactions have nothing to do with “preference” - it is purely a physical energy issue, and many homosexuals unconsciously gravitate towards its balancing anyway. For example, lesbians are very fond of the high desert, and gay men are fond of cold, wet areas like SF, Portland and Seattle. Not all of them do this, of course. But a higher-than-average amount do.
So - butch gays and Nazism would make sense if you want to create a completely out-of-control group of murderers, because the constant male-to-male buildup energy is driven even higher by (masculine) military training and indulgence in violence (a form of heat), which would then drive all that hot, dry, burning energy ever higher, until eventually madness took over. And historically, that’s exactly what happened to them - they were all marked by extreme insanity.
