I started laughing at the movie series when the protagonists burst into the lab while being chased by 600 pound, voracious Velociraptors, opened the emergency gun cabinet and pulled out ....wait for it.....ar15s.
So basically they were going to take on the out of control dinosaurs with a medium speed .22 caliber rifle. My wife was annoyed with me, but it really ruined it for me.

I'd take an AR-15 over rocks. Besides, thirty rounds to center mass may just work.
Yeah...I would have preferred an RPG or a shoulder-fired missile for one of those puppies! :-)

When I watched the original I commented that the weaponry was insufficient. When asked what I would use I said something fired from a turret.
