The cause of an early morning fire north of San Diego was an electrocuted bird falling from an active power line
A bird carrying a snake in its talons struck power lines north of San Diego, sparking a hillside fire just west of The Merge.
San Diego Police arrived to the location on Dunhill Street near the intersection of Interstates 5 and 805 just before 6 a.m.
Flames were burning very close to businesses including the General Atomics building, officials said.
Officers called in San Diego Fire-Rescue crews who contained the fire within an hour.
Fire officials initially told NBC 7 a bird with a snake in its mouth was electrocuted on a power line and fell to the ground, sparking the fire. A photo released by officials later shows the snake in the hawk's grasp.
"A hawk that hit the high voltage power line, caught fire, and fell to the ground," SD Fire-Rescue spokesperson Lee Swanson said in a written release.
There were no structures damaged and no evacuations ordered.
This area of San Diego is home to many companies in the region's biochemical industry.

LOL! We already had coffee. I’ll be leaving for Weight Watchers in a little while. Only Frank is coming today, because he has his swimming lesson after the meeting. Maybe the others will get Kathleen to use the toilet.
It sure would be helpful if I knew my own children’s names.

I think Kathleen is holding bak on purpose because she loves the attention she’s getting from the potty training.
I was on Amazon last night looking at the Mark Levin book, (do I or don’t I buy it)? And I saw a book on potty training was also in the top ten best seller list.

Thank you all for the encouragement. Maybe by the time they leave home, I’ll know who they all were.
When I came back from Weight Watchers and Frank’s swimming lesson, there was a mallard sitting in our front yard. She got nervous and tried to run away, but she’s injured. She sat around the yard for a while, and then moved under a big holly bush by the corner of the house.
Bill has left a message with Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, conveniently located not far from us, asking for instructions on what to do with her. We could probably get her into a cat carrier to take her to them.
I cancelled the appointment, but I was fairly lucky in the one I got...only a month away, while today’s was two months, or maybe better.
Anyway, my back is still giving me fits.

I finished the final draft of my Will this morning, and now I wait for someone to look it over. Then I will see about getting it notarized.

How was WW today? And the swimming lessons?
My dad never did know the names of the three of us that he fathered. The fourth was a boy, and bigger and ugly than us (the one who sent me the Nook) so he was mostly gone. Poor dad...we teased him so... <3
I lost 2.6 lbs., but I’m still 5 over goal. I was in the gym for most of the swimming lesson (GAH), but he’s working hard. Maybe he’ll pass the level this time.
I’m pretty depressed today, and it looks like it’s going to keep on the same way. It looks like pest control is in the area, but they won’t get to me, any time soon, I’m sure...
So I’m going to have lunch before they get here...*shudder*
