Ohno. I couldn’t do that.
Half of my neighbors are Gladys Kravitz-types and the other half belong to the Hemlock Society.

Our illustrious local news blandly reported it, but didn’t bother to send a film crew.

It may be faster to take the alternate, unless you want to be another Looky-Lou and maybe cause an accident of your own...

GAH! It’s obvious they don’t know how to report the news, just comment on it in passing.

Update, they did send a film crew, but it wasn’t aired as part of the weather report.

Frank is making excellent progress at swimming. He can thrash across the water about 5 feet, now.
During his lesson, I finished a very interesting book about Virginia Woolf. It was so interesting that I’ve requested some of her own books.

They had it pretty much cleaned up by the time I got there.

If I remember correctly, the literal English translation of the Spanish word(s) for peacock is ‘royal turkey’...

didnt bother to send a film crew.Probably afraid that if they got some video of water-related stuff Gov. Moonbeam would charge them with something.

I guess writing is never going to be anything more than a side hobby. I’m glad that some people get to read what I put up but I’ll never make any money doing this I guess.
To: GeronL
Take comfort in the fact you tried. I haven’t done anything with any semblance of an Idea I’ve had except let it rattle around in my brain.
After taking comfort, get back out there and try again.

Do not ever give up on yourself! And don’t worry about making money...it will come when you least expect it. Just remember, you have several short stories for your resume, and that is ALL good!

Most writers are never going to have a paying job at it. If you’re enjoying yourself and have some readers, that’s an achievement.

I’m not going to stop writing.
I have a few more things that will become e-books.
To: Tax-chick; GeronL
"If youre enjoying yourself and have some readers, thats an achievement." 'Xactly. My big problem is that I haven't murdered anybody yet. So I have no infamy to market.
Marketing is the hangup. Lots of folks can write entertainingly, and everyone has a story to tell.
But to make money at it is tricky. Many of the literary figures known to all of us never made enough during their lives to keep the family fed.
Nevertheless, if what you do is write, and what you want to do is write, then write.
Improve yourself as you go. Get better at it. Entertain yourself, and others will enjoy your ability too. Eventually these efforts will pay off in some manner, even if it is only the satisfaction you get from a valiant effort, and a loyal cadre of followers to encourage you.
