I have encountered those Westboro people a few times up close and personal...they suck, and deserve every abuse they get.
That said, it is playing into their hands. It is what they want people to do.
They’ll claim it was scalding hot coffee and fake injuries. I feel sorry for the guy, he could lose everything. I can understand his anger.
Westboro is insanity but they are entitled to their First Amendment rights like the Nazis that marched in a Jewish neighborhood in Skokie, IL back in the 1970’s.
The Supreme Court upheld Westboro’s First Amendment rights 7-1 in the lawsuit filed by a man in my community (York, PA) who was portrayed in the media (including Bill O’Reilly and Fox News) as ‘the father of a Marine’.
Al Snyder fit that description but after he lost at the Supreme Court, AL SNYDER REVEALED THAT HE WAS GAY.
If I were gay, I would be angry with Westboro and the LGBT activist agenda in this country is to silence any negative comments aimed at LGBT people.
There was more to the Westboro lawsuit than we knew at the time and I think that’s worth putting out there.
