Our niece “came out” a few years ago and is in an abusive relationship. She just takes it from this horrid woman.

Leaves me speechless as she was a confident, pretty, ambitious and smart girl. All of that has changed. Mental illness would explain it. Her sister is a capable counselor but is powerless to help.

I have one brother and one cousin who are gay; my brother is a full flaming weirdo that can't be trusted to be around the rest of the family's children. He is full-time obsessed with all things gay and no fun whatsoever to be around. He goes into towering rages at the slightest of reasons. There is literally nothing else in his life but gay activities and he insists on inflicting it on all of us (6 sisters, 3 brothers). He is a poster child for mental illness.

My cousin is a stable enough guy with a monogamous relationship and he is a distinguished government worker with numerous awards. I can't fathom gay anything, but he's fine to be around.

I personally believe that gay attraction is a mental illness or at least a profound defect. Both of my gay relations are dead branches on the family tree because they have been afflicted with same-sex attraction. Some handle it well but most don't.
