True story - my sister submitted her DNA to one of those companies that map your ethnic background and family connections. She was just curious. They also tell you if you have relatives in their database, if they agree to be listed (she didn't).

As expected, we have a bunch of relatives in Ireland and the northeast US, some we knew of, some we didn't. But then, it turns out that we also have a second cousin in the database, who was adopted and has no blood family in contact with him. He was hoping somebody would reach out to him.

But, I kid you not, from his profile we learned that he is a bisexual, depressed, satanist Canadian. He remains unconnected.
