Am not a race follower, but I noticed faster times in 1893 and 1894. Did they change the race?

Secretariat will always be the greatest ever. Here’s his almost 30 length win at 1973 Belmont. Note the cameraman was having problems getting Secretariat and the 2nd place horse (Sham) in the same camera view.
