When they “mainstreamed” female staff at the joint I worked in, the first one was assigned to my unit. this was a max secure mental hospital in early 90’s. We had a tight unit, good partners, with years of experience. She was a “looker”. The working environment was transformed immediately. The guys were worrying about protecting her more than their job. She got the same pay. Within six months one of the guys was involved with her romantically and left his wife. It became a complete zoo overnight.
They should look at the nursing staff closely also.
