"The park allows tourists to drive through the preserve where lions roam. A park official told AP the woman was taking pictures through an open window, even though visitors are ordered to keep windows closed, when the lioness lunged."
I assume her last conversation went thusly:

"Uh, miss, keep your window closed!"

"No way! It'll mess up my shots!"

“It’s okay. It’s a lionESS. We’re sisters.”

“Uh, miss, that may be true, but to her, you’re dinner, too.”

I drove through Banff in Alberta and spent the night in a campground and read the pamphlets put out by the park rangers about the dangers of bears. There are both grizzly and black bear in Banff and though most people are smart enough to know that grizzlies are dangerous, many people think black bears are ... I don’t know... domesticated? Anyway, one of the stories in one of the pamphlets was about a couple who balanced their 2-year-old on the neck of a black bear to get a photo and the bear suddenly swatted or snapped and killed the kid in an instant.

People can be exceedingly stupid on the subject of wild animals.
