A young Russian couple decided to “punish” their kitten for not using the litter box by placing the animal inside a washing machine and posting the video on social media, the Russian Times reported on Saturday.
As the video went viral, online outrage discovered footage of the young woman in the couple, identified as 19-year-old Dinara Iskulova, and a group of friends kicking a boy rolled up in a carpet. The boy’s 33-year-old mother also appears in the video, but allegedly does nothing to stop the beating.
“Following from the evidence uncovered in the investigation into what happened, a criminal case for torture of a minor has been opened,” the spokesperson for the office of criminal investigations for the Chelyabinsk region told Chelyabinsk.ru website.
According to media reports, details have emerged regarding Iskulova’s violent background suggesting that she grew up in a drinking family and that she had already been registered with police for an unspecified minor offence.
The young woman said she has received plenty of threats since the video of the cat abuse went public, according to the Russian news website.

I can’t tolerate, or abide with any cruelty to animals, but especially cats. It makes me so full of anger that I would kill the human devil who perpetrates such evil....kill them with my own two hands....gladly.
Well, we always hear that people who abuse animals move on to abuse humans. Looks like this young lady already got bored with torturing helpless animals by the time she was caught.
Hopefully, she will be locked in the gulag for a long time.

Unless their cat speaks their human language, it has NO clue as to why it is being subject to the “punishment” and will respond to unpleasantness by the comfort of more ‘marking’ up places in the house.

Note that they are also charged with torture of a minor, since the video shows them kicking a boy who is rolled up in a carpet.
Since they are now in the tender care of the Chelyabinsk police I suspect they will learn all about being kicked around and run through the ringer.
Too drunk and stupid to realize that there might have been a host of legitimate reasons the kitten didn’t use the box.
