You can keep your Dances with Wolves, give me Jeremiah Johnson! Just a great movie about living life free and on one's own terms. Will Geer is an absolute hoot, and Redford is at his best. It's unfortunately not the best quality print of the movie, but I think you'll enjoy it just the same. 7.5/10.
BTW, look for small parts by Jack Colvin (Mr. McGee from The Incredible Hulk) and Paul Benedict (Mr. Bentley from The Jeffersons).

You've come a long way, pilgrim.
Feels like far.
Were it worth the trouble?
Ah - what trouble?.......

“Pilgrim, you skin grizz?”
“Sure, I can skin anything!”
some time later...
“You get that one skint and I’ll bring you ‘nother!”

Will Geer always gave me the creeps. He was a homo and a Commie.

Great movie. I saw it at the Rancho Drive in in Reno, 1972.
